Animation Devices
Pre

one of several Pre film animation devices that produce the illusion of motion by displaying a sequence of
drawings or photographs showing progressive phases of that motion. My teacher brought a battery operated zoetrope in class room. It's got nine figures and is made by plastic and paper.
Thaumatrope is a toy
and it was popular in the 19th century. Thaumatrope is a toy that was
popular in the 19th century. A disk with a picture on each side is attached to
two pieces of string.
A flip book is a
collection of combined pictures intended to be flipped over to give the
illusion of movement and create an animated sequence from a simple small book
without machine.
It is a device that was invented in
1832 for animation purposes. Basically what you've got is two wheels with
sequences of animations around it, kind of like a flip book. It was mounted in
front of a mirror. They would then be spun rotating on the same axis, where the
image would be viewed through some cuts or slits in the wheel.
A simple form of image projector used for showing
photographic slides. It was developed in the 17th century and commonly used for educational
and entertainment purposes.
